Lola goes London
Introduction
LOLA GOES TO LONDON is my first photo book ever published and I am hugely proud of that London has become my „object“ to show to the world in pictures.
LOLA GOES TO LONDON is not only a photo book, it’s much more a photo diary. I tell a story to each photo taken and I think this makes it completely different. I think I owe it to the people out there to tell them a bit more about myself and my art than just representing it with photographs. A real photographer is a modern painter, but he does not paint with colours but with light and for me it was always very important to have an analogue camera and to work with it before using a digital camera, because only when you work with an analogue camera you can work on your art and also do your exercises. It’s of utmost importance to learn at first what photography means, how to play with light and shadow and colours and everything that belongs to photography. It took me many years until I started working as a professional photographer and I never studied it. So it makes me even prouder to represent my book to you.
On the next pages I will give you the chance of taking a look at some of my photos, so that you know what I am talking about. Enjoy yourself! Love, Lola
