Introduction

May I introduce „Lou Lou“  to  you. This will be my first children’s picture book and I am very proud of it, because of the sweet sheep girl I have created here for the children.

How did I come to the idea of creating Lou Lou. To be honest, it was an odd way, because I listened to a song of the French singer Mylene Farmer and she sung “Dessine moi un mouton”  (Draw me a sheep). Alright, I thought, this would be a good idea and thus the idea of Lou Lou was born. First, I just created a few drawings of Lou Lou and then, after a while, I started to create whole stories. It was not easy, because I do not have children so far and I had to look through the libraries and see what children would like to read and see, but I really never found the book I was looking for. So I thought, I have to create it the way I always wanted to have picture books look like when I used to be a child. I sat down at my table and thought, what should be the intention of creating my little Lou Lou and after a while it dawned on me, that I would need stories that could help children to understand a story in a playful way. I wanted to create a children’s picture book which children would never forget in a positive way anymore. Lou Lou has something very special about her persona. She is on one hand a very lovely sheep which is around the age of the children who this book is created for. Children will just love her without even saying why. Just look into her black sheep eyes. A child just could cuddle her all the time, I guess. On the other hand, Lou Lou is more than a lovely character of my child’s book. First and foremost my intention was to explain to little children combined with funny stories, why it’s so important to obey but it also contains funny stories in general. It’s a mother-child book, I would say. It really made great fun creating Lou Lou because I love children very much and I hope, you will also have as much fun reading it with your child as soon as it comes out.

In advance I want to include a short description about my book:

The cute sheep girl Lou Lou melts away the hearts of children and parents alike. In the children’s book, “Lou Lou – The Great Adventures of the Cute Sheep Girl,” the delightful character of Lou Lou is always curious and eager to learn, smell and touch. The world all about her is a place of magnificent wonder and discovery. She offers a fun and simple way for children ages 3-9  to learn positive lessons about life and growing up.

Lou LouLou Lou is an utterly adorable sheep girl that children simply want to see again and again. By following her adventures children learn what they are allowed to do in real life and what they are not. With its cute drawings and breezy writing style, it is one of those books from which children learn so much simply by having fun –with no need for the formality of formal teaching.
